My 1992 Honda civic is missing on one cylinder, has compression, has spark and I replaced the fuel injector, what could be wrong

I had the same problem, and I found it by running the car in a low lighted area. I saw the spark jumping out of the #1 cylinder wire to the top of my metal valve cover. I replaced my wires and all was well. My wires had long plastic boots that inserted into aluminum tubes. It was an over head cam motor, so there was quite a reach to get to the plug. Anyway, take the wire off, put a spark plug in it. (not the one in the cylinder, leave it there.) get a new plug, or old plug. lay the wire so that the spark plug tip is touching metal. start your car and look to see if the spark is jumping across the gap of the plug or jumping out earlier somewhere along the wire.

Where is the throttle body on a nissan sentra 2004 1.8s base model

If you look at your air filter box and follow up to the left(looking from the front of the vehicle),and see where your rubber air intake tube clamps to the aluminum, right after that clamp on the back side of the air intake manufold is a little black box bolted the begining of the aluminum tube(If you follow the wires from the plug's and injector's,there all wrapped up in plastic covering and electrical tape they will lead around to the back of the engine block and to you electonic throttle body. You can't miss it.

Get engine air filter out and install new.

Step 1 Unfasten wire harness to MAF (massive air flow) sensor located on top of the black tube leading from the air box to the plenum.
  • Step 2 Unplug the vacuum line located on top of the black tube. This simply pops in and out so you might need to be forceful, but apply common sense since it's a plastic vacuum line.
  • Step 3 Loosen band clamp with the screw driver at the top of the black tube that is attached to the aluminum air chamber that run to the plenum. Also, loosen the other band clamp located at the bottom of the tube closest to the air box. The idea is to remove this tube with the MAF sensor intact in between. Do not remove the band clamps, simply loosen them enough to wiggle off the tube and move it out of the way.
  • Step 4 Unclip both fasteners at the top of the air box and pull out and up to remove air box cover. Remove old air filtermag-glass_10x10.gif and if there's a good deal of dust and debris inside the air box, you could wipe it out with a rag or even vacuum it out with a shop vacuum.
  • Step 5 Insert new filter and replace air box cover. Make sure the retaining tabs are locked in at the bottom correctly. Refasten top locking clips to air box cover.
  • Step 6 Reinstall air tube making sure to replace top part back on correctly to aluminum air chamber. Not properly reinstalling this air tube will result in the computer of the car throwing a check engine code. On the bottom of the black air tube is a small tab and if tube is replaced properly should line up in a notch molded into the air box cover. Tighten band clamps with screw driver and reconnect wire harness and plug plastic vacuum line back in.

You will have to get a factory approved kit . Any modification to the lighting system will interfere with the Bulb faifure warning as the wattages and resistances will be altered outside the normal Jaguar settings. There is designated kits for these types of electrical systems from quality tow bar makers .......

Yes I double Salkim08's solution. Since your motor is made from Aluminum, this could be a big sign that it is an interferance motor. Aluminum expands twice as much as iron. Most old fashion V motors ( v6's V8's) are made with an Iron block and Aluminum heads. But new Transverse motors( sideways front wheel drive motors), block and cylinder head, are made of aluminum.

Egr Valve is usually attached to plenum with a tube that runs to exhaust minifold. If you dont know what those things are then. Find the black tube that runs from the front of the car to the front of the motor. there should be a big square box where you air filter goes in the middle of that tube. Well where that tube connect on the front of the motor. That is called the throttle body. the big block of aluminum is called the plenum. Bolted to that plenum is going to be a space ship looking thing that has one rubber hose a wireing plug that plugs into it and a long tube that is attached to the bottom that goes down behind the motor to your exhaust. There should be 2 or three nuts or bolts that hold it in place. Sorry if I overexplained this but I do not know how much you know about the car......Good luck!
