This problem generally occurs when the battery has been disconnected. What you need is enter the code from the radio to be re-activated.

The radio code is usually located in the back pages of the vehicle owner's manual or sticker on the back some of the same radio. If not so, you need to visit some local brand to provide, the code with your vehicle's VIN number.

Hope thats help.

Most reputable Land Rover dealers can retrieve the code for you. Once you've
demonstrated proper ownership, the dealers have ways of extracting the
    code.

For every Land Rover, a white credit card, the "Code card", is issued and is
usually found with the owner's manual. Some dealerships write the code
on a piece of tape or label and may place it in a 'safe area: one side
of the glove box, on the bottom of the ash tray, or in one of the door
jams. Check the owners manual, the code may be written in on the stereo
pages, one of the covers or other pages by the previous owner. On rare
occasions, the code may be written on the stereo but you'd have to
remove the stereo to verify this (strange place to put it but its
    possible).

There is a company that I am aware of that can retrieve the code but
they'll charge you and you will have to do some of the work. They
probably contact the original manufacturer (Clarion or BOSE) and get
the code from them. I think this is what Land Rover would do as well.

Regardless, you'll need to provide your VIN#, car stereo Model,
Reference and Serial numbers from car stereo. Land Rover will verify
that you are indeed the owner while this service (FCSR) I'm not sure.

Had to replace battery now radio is asking for code

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

First remove the radio from the dashboard.

Removal Info here

www.fitaudio.com

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes and a 14 character Serial Number stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

2007 accord radio and heater don't work, battery died and I think it needs a "code"

occasionaly the code can be found on the radio, if not you can remove the radio, and call your local dealership and ask for the code. they'll ask you for some information regarding the vehicle and give you the code. They should ask for VIN number and serial number on the radio. Sometimes the code will be found in the owners manual or on the envelope containing it. hope this helps.

Radio turned off

YOU NEED THE SERIAL NUMBER FROM YOUR RADIO:
I don't know an easy way to get the radio serial number, find a radio install savy person and ask them to help you. My dealership said they would do it for me and charge me for 30-60 mins worth of labor.. (At $75/hour) <BR> <BR>
RADIO SAYS "OFF" OR "LOCK": <BR>
Leave the "off" display on for 1 hour uninterupted, then it will automatically reset back to UNLOCK CODE.
<BR> When you turn it back on again after that time has passed it will ask for "code". <BR> <BR>
RADIO SAYS "UNLOCK CODE:" <BR>
Call your local MItsubishi dealership and ask for the service department.
<BR>They have a computer program where they punch in the serial number from your radio (you have to supply the number) and it will tell them the UNLOCK CODE for your radio. My dealership offered to give it to me free over the phone, if I knew my radio serial number. Enter the code using the buttons on your radio. And write the code down, this will show up everytime your radio looses connection to its power source - the car battery.
