This is a very common issue and is caused by a bad multi-function switch in the steering column. this is what controls of of those item's.

good luck and thank you for using fixya.com

if you do not know then take it in to be fixed. but the only thing that needs to be removed is the steering wheel and some small bits. but the column stays in place. takes a few hours or less.

Mybrakes dont work but tail lights work

Do you mean your brake lights don't work? Check fuse first, brake light switch second, bulbs third. Could be a problem in signal light switch or wiring.

Where is the flasher relay located on my 97 continental? I have looked under the dash and no luck. The auto parts store does not even list a part number for a 97. At first the rt blinker stopped working...

The Lincoln Continental flasher is integrated into the "Multifunction light control module" part # 13c788. Cost junk yard around $50. There is no stand alone flasher relay as in the older or more senseably engineered and cheaper cars.

Hope helps.

Flashing ligth not working at all

Hi!!!

If your hazard lights turn on but do not blink, replace flasher.

If your hazard lights don't turn on, check hazard/stop/turn fuse(s).

Let me know how it worked out, good luck.
