2000 Toyota Sienna Headlight Problem

Hello, We just got a 2000 Toyota Sienna as a gift. It was wrecked in the front about 2 years ago and was fixed. Since then..the front left low beam light only will blow a fuse and the interior lights go out as well. If the wires are in good working order...is it possible that the wires installed were incorrect.

Hey Steve...just to double check if all else fails we can use the working wires from the right side of the car and run the left side as well...and it will not overload? That was such a great answer thank you!!! :)

It sounds like there is an earthing fault, they may have got the wires for the lights the wrong way round and is now shorting the fueses, try removing the plug from the rear of the headlight and checking it with the oppersit side and see if the wires are the same, if not just swap the live for the earth and see how you get on, also check to see if any of the wires are burnt together this also could be shorting it out, the other way round it is, just run 2 wires, and earth and a live from the oppersite side and connect directly to the plug wires ( you wil have to cut them frm the plug) make sure you give yourself plenty of length on the plug wires...hope that helps

no it wont overload it as the fuse still has to cope with both the lights anyway, your just removing one power sorce and replacing it with another, yes you got it right...good luck

There is a fuse for both the low and high beam headlights.

Van Leaks Water Above Emergency Brake

It does sound like it may be coming in by the windshield. Especially if it has been replaced. Most windshield replacement companys stand behind their work and will pull the windshield out again and reseal it for free. Check on that first. You may not have to do any work!

Moisture in headlight assembly, 2004 toyota seinna van. How do I take out to reseal or replace? It is the assembly on the passenger side.

Once the factory seal is leaking moisture, it can be hard to dry and reseal. You can try a hir dryer, and then look for a seam to lay silicone on, but the recommended fix is to replace the whole headlight assembly. The lens is not removable like on older lamps. The pieces are molded, and then epoxied together. Hard to split apart and get back together without damaging. Try a salvage yard.

I had moistured on my 2004 sienna headlight, How can i removed the moistured?

I fixed this problem on my 2004 Sienna. The moisture seems to come in from the top of the headlamp assembly. I generously applied Permatex Super Clear VINYL SEALANT to the seam at the top of the assembly after drying out the moisture by remvoing the bulbs. There are vent at the bottom of the assembly which should be open; there's a liitle foam plug that let's air in so the assembly is not intended to be airtight. There has been no moisture problem for about a year.
