For the most part you have to put the car on ramps and remove the screws form the transmission pan and the filter is behind the pan give these websites a try and if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your car wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

Where is the torque converter clutch solenoid?

The torque converter is inside the transmission. The (electric) clutch solenoid - usually - is on the outside of the transmission case.

Get a flashlight, get under the vehicle and look on the transmission case for electrical wires..

The link below will give you a general idea of what it may look like:

What's wrong with a infinity i30 when it has a

2 possible solutions. 1 or more serpanteen belts are not engaging ( slipping will smoke like he'll! I burnt all 3 when I started my j30 '96 after almost 2 years! Had to charge the battery overnight..everyone really should have one! Times like that you are gladjya did! And my battery was replaced the day I stopped driving it!). Either that...clogged fuel filter. Seriously, it happened in all three j30's I have owned, and one Jaguar XJ6 with saddle back gas tanks. $55 usually to change...maybe a lil' more depending the garage hrly rates.

I have 1997 j30 infinity after doing an oil change started making a knocking noise

Check to be sure oil filter s the right one, not leaking or clogged. No leaks, no sludge last but not least ur oil pump could be failing. Start with the simplest ones, check for oil leaks, check oil filter(it might be clogged) some rare cases oil pressure switch or sensor leaks occur too. Not visible unless u looking right when the cars on.

Location o2 sensors 94 Infiniti J30

There will be one on each side of the lower part of the engine on the catalysts, and then there will be two more on the exhaust tubes roughly halfway between the engine and the muffler. You should be able to look at the top of the engine and see four connectors with colored braided wires. They should be white, red, blue and black. You can trace those wires directly to the O2 sensors.

I need to locate and replace the EGR valve in a 1997 infiniti j30

those are not fun ....they can be found in the rear of motor right above transmission bell housing .I cant decide if popping the tranny out is worth the fight you will have attempting to do it up above laying over the motor with virtually no clearance to remove it but I have done it both ways. I guess the most sensible way is to remove the transmission and access it from underneath.

1994 J30 Alternator

Should not be a problem. Your engine is the VG30DE, which is the same engine in the 90-96 non-turbo 300ZX. On those cars, the alternators were all interchangeable, so I see no problem with using an alternator from a different model year than your car.

Exchanging infiniti j30 parts

I've only had experience with struts, running lights, trunk gaskets and various under-hood brackets; so far everything has been interchangeable. It may not look EXACTLY the same, but it fits. Hope it helps!
