SOURCE: wiring in a tow bar
First I'm sure that a Festiva should probably only be towing body weight, But if you want to hook up a wiring loom for towing I would suggest buying a 4 lug loom from a auto store, then I would get a chilton or haynes manual to get the wiring diagram (or internet) then wire it up with **** connectors and electrical tape.

no standard color codes. all you need is park light, signal left and right, brake light. easiest way is to connect the wires in the tail lights. hope this helps

you are not allowed to fit your own towbar anywhere in europe now ,it can only be done by an authorised agent with the necessary rubber stamps

SOURCE: wiring diagram
All wires that you need are behind the carpet in the boot on the left hand side, there is a blue connector there, best to use a test lamp to locate which wire does what.

ARE YOU READY
L.H. STOP AND TURN ( YELLOW )
R.H. STOP AND TURN ( GREEN )
TAIL, LICENSE, SIDE MARKERS ( BROWN )
GROUND ( WHITE )
NOW THE COLORS ON THE VEHICAL ARE GOING TO BE DIFFERENT AND YOU WILL NEED A 12 VOLT TEST LIGHT FOR MAKEING SURE YOU HAVE THE WRITE WIRES FROM THE CAR TO THE TOE BAR, DON'T NEED BACK UP TIGHTS FOR THIS
