1992 dodge dokota sometimes on slowdowns or stops shudders and seems to lose power i shift into nuetrall then back into drive then it gets better is the torque converter going bad

you can try ur fuel filter or shift linkage

well do you have a switch or push button selector or a actual floor shifter? Ok, when you are driving you can and only should shift from 4 hi to 2 hi and 2 hi to 4 hi at any speed as long as tires are not spinning and you are not on the gas. when shifting, release gas pedal slightly and shift. do not shift lets say when you are taking off at a light, this would be under power and will do damage to drivetrain. also you can shift at any time while vehicle is at a stop position. Now when shifting into 4 lo the vehicle must be stopped and should be put in nuetral and when shifting out of 4 lo the vehicle must be stopped and in nuetral also as to not damage drivetrain. Never drive faster than 25 mph in 4 lo as you will damage drivetrain. When i say shift i mean either push the button to 2 hi or 4 hi or turn selector knob to position desired, or push , pull shift lever on floor to desired position. I dont know what your set up is . but they all use the same instructions as how to shift the 4x4 selections

It sounds like your input clutch seals are rolling. Is the check engine light on. It could also be the pressure control solenoid could be causing the problem aswell

is the blower motor coming on? check for power at the connector with the switch on

YOUR IN TROUBLE. Had my tranny changed $1600. needs to have a scanner hooked up to tranny. if slipping don't bother having it serviced it's a $100 scam. once it's bad it's bad !!!!
