Question about 1985 Dodge Pickup 4WD
Well I asked a question about my 85 ram a few days ago and did exactly as suggested. I tested my battery, I tested my alt. Both tested out great. I replaced my voltage regulator, and that did fix the intensity of my lights. But what is happening now is, if I start my truck and shut it off for even a split second, it acts like it is completely dead. Starter clicks, lights go dim. So I have to jump it every time I go to start it. Could the starter be causing this? do I need to replace it?
You are correct. If your battery tests good, then the starter is your problem.
