You need to check the timing and the cowl pack to find out why you are not getting any spark give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your car wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

SOURCE: wont start

losing water for months, but no eveidnese under car. Either being blown out exhaust or it's in the oil. Pull out oil dipstick and check if oil if foamy or too thin. That would mean the presents of coolant in the oil. And that happens from bad headgasket.
This could keep from starting depending on how freezing.

Compression low 130 on all four.will start with a lot of cranking or easy start.not smoking , or loosing water bot when running has plenty of power. 86000 miles

one idea is to tell us what engine it is petrol or diesel
130 is plenty to start a petrol engine so it must be a diesel
Even at that a diesel with good injectors will start if the start rpms from the battery are high enough
so check the injectors and battery condition

02 hyundai santa fe died abruptly driving down the highway and wont restart the engine cranks but won't start it is the v-6 model

Never seen a big engined petrol one of these ,diesel manuals yes plenty abound ,but this year model on the diesel anyway suffers from a crankshaft keyway problem and it wears away allowing the front pulley and timing gear to move allowing the pistons to hit the valves ,now later models had a deeper keyway as a remedy but yours is a 2002 and this could suffer the same problem as the diesels. So check the timing marks first before you change this and that ,V6 petrol ?? try paying 7 dollars a gallon and then say if the diesel isnt the best for economy

I have a ford focus 1.8 diesel x reg 1999 girlfreind put petrol in it about 3weeks ago we have drained it all re fueled it and it started and run but now it wount start

poss the fuel filter has petrol in it,replace filter, turn engine over with fuel line unattached to clear lines then fire up,should be fine.you may hve a hot start problem for awhile but fill up with diesel at 1/2 tank to dilute any petrol left.in 32 years in the trade i have put petrol in so many diesel cars, and as long as it starts, keep it running, and start only when cold ish.
