I have a golf 4 gti automatic gearbox was recently overhauled but it still does not engauge from 3rd to 4th

Then you need to suspect that you have a wiring issue to the transmission or a defective Transmission control module (TCM) To do this testing requires a tool called a transmission control system breakout box, that is a dealer level tool. Whether you choose to go to the dealer is your choice, I just wanted to let you know the options you have.

Where do you check oil level for automatic gearbox on vw golf gti automatic dsg 2006

You don't. There are special tools and procedures. You'll have to take it to the dealer, I'm afraid. Hope this helps.

How many radiator's does a golf 3 gti have?

it has one engine coolant rad,one a/c condenser(looks like a rad)that sits in front of the rad, they can have an engine oil cooler that sits in front of the rad that looks like a minature rad and if it has an automatic transmission it could have a transmission cooler that looks similar to the oil cooler.so if your counting thats 4 if it has all of them, hope this helps.

Thinking of buying a 2006 rav4 with 54000. Is there any reason I should not buy a 2006 rav? Any particular problem with this year model. It has 2.4 automatic

I also bought a used 2006 RAV4 Sport (in 2008) and I am really happy with it. What you need to look for is for a clunk, pop or knock type noise when you are turning the steering wheel left of right. I noticed it when I test drove it. There is a service bulletin ST001-08 not a Recall. The dealer would have fixed it under the 36000 warranty but I don't know if it will be fixed after that. The 2006 RAV4 has no recall problems for the accelerator.

How and where you change automatic oil on

Its not as hard as people make you think. The car needs to be level. Its under the car in the middle. The easiest way is to check out you tube for the VW transmission oil change. Use this, just copy and paste. http://youtu.be/zuCNZhwIne0

VW beetle manual to automatic conversion-- possible?

Forget it. The automatic has different electronic components like transmission modules .sensors, ECM and cooling systems. Flywheel motor mounts and supports and sub-frame parts are different also. All of this would require a complete different engine and body harness and switches. Look for one with an automatic in it. try www.internetautoguide.com

Vw automatic trans won't shift

The 01M and 09A automatic transmissions do not have a dipstick and procedure requires measuring and maintaining a specified ATF temperature (which is neither cold or hot, but in between) during the ATF level checking. Special Volkswagen tools are required for this operation and it is therefore recommended that ATF level checking on 01M/09A transmissions be left to an authorized VW dealer.

Changing the automatic transmission fluid on this vehicle takes special fluid and equipment which includes a scan tool that can read transmission fluid temperature. I would recommend going to a VW dealer or service center that works on VW’s
