My 98 isuzu i just bought from a crooked dealer

My 98 isuzu i just bought from a crooked dealer ran fine till i got it home shortley after the check engine light popped on and the 4x4 light and check tranny and it vibrated . i the tranny diffs. transfer case all drained and (tranny)flushed and the tranny light went off but the others dint. now it wont shift into drive and stalls at every red light and stop sign rough idle if it does idle po916 po 102 po 101 and other code relating to misfire on 3 and 5 and lean on 1 and 2 it sounds like a suction noise from the back of the motor when it stalls you can hear a hissing like a air valve hissing or only when it stalls or you turn engine off the local parts store said it could be the ujoints and or the speed sensor in the tranny or the shift selnoid on the tranny. please help my lemon atleast be a bruised plum..........thank you

My 98 isuzu tropper sometimes will not down shift back to first when i stop but if i put it in park and shut the vehicle off it will work fine . it will also work when i manually shift it .i dont know what it is , if its gonna need a tranny or if its electrical .

Did you purchase the Isuzi 'as is' or is there any warranty? Some states require a 30 day warranty, just to prevent people from being ripped off. Bring it back to the dealer IMMEDIATELY if there is any warranty. Even if there isn't, I would return to complain and hopefully have them fix some of the several problems you now have. This most likely won't help, but file a complaint with your local BBB and state attorney general. The important lesson at this point is to never purchase a vehicle without 1st checking the reputation of the dealer, and without at least a 30 day warranty. If you can't get a 30 day warranty, don't buy it.
The suction noise you hear may just be a vacuum line that is disconnected. You will have to hunt around for it while someone turns the engine off (as that 's when it makes the noise). You can purchase a small extending adjustable mirror at a parts store to help look for the source of the noise in hard to see locations at the back of the motor. Try to find this 1st, as it may correct some of your current problems.
Misfire can be caused by the spark plugs, plug wires, coil, or injectors. Your description sounds like the vibrating didn't start until the check engine light came on, so I don't think you have issues with the 'u joints' as the parts store suggested. The vibrating is caused due to it running rough. Good luck.

Check your battery if everything else seems fine. Otherwise, I would need more information about what the car is doing when you try to start it.

Are the block and heads the same in an 98 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 and a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2?

3 places you can get the answer.
1) dealer parts department
2) a salvage yard or parts store like auto zone or advanced auto.
3) a machine shop that does head repair. I would start here and have the donor head checked before i installed it and then found out it wasn't flat.

My 1998 isuzu trooper 3.5v-6..we ran out of gas, i put gas back in and now it will not start, it turns over just fine, also i have bled the fuel rail, the P.S.I. not bad, i got it to light off 1 time by...

This happened recently to my Handa Civic EX 98. It turns out when we run our cars very low on gas the fuel pump sucks the rest of the gas and the rest of the junk in the tank blocking the fuel filter and sometimes going through the pump and ruining the pump. But go with replacing the fuel filter first. This cleared my fiance's car i replaced the filter and it was fine.

Cadillac eldorado 98 ran out of gas now wont

Change fuel filter, may have pulled some debris from tank into fuel filter stopping it up

Anti theft system problem

No valet switch from the factory i think but the isuzu dealer can sort this with the tech II scanner ,it will let him reprogramme all the codes .

Check engine light

Please be advise that if you drive this and the check engine light is flash on and off. you should not drive it any more till you find the problem because you can cause more damage to the truck if the light is flash. there are many things that could cause this running condition: TPS, EGR, Bad injector, Idle air control and more would need to know codes that are in the computer, engine size 2 or 4 wheel drive, does it have A/C, Cruise, traction control, ABS brakes, then I maybe able to help you

I had always ran synthetic oil because the guy I bought my 99 from said it will burn less oil that way. One time I had an oil change done and they used regular oil by mistake and the knock was gone and it doesnt use any more oil. mine has 85k on it.
