Question about 2005 Nissan Altima

My passenger side headlight doesn't work. I had the bulbs replaced and still doesn't work. I'm thinking maybe a fuse has blown or maybe a headlight switch. Any suggestions?

The fuse for the headlights run both sides but I have ran into this before working on Fords and sometimes the hardshell connector (wiring harness) that plugs into the headlight bulb gets to hot or has had a bad connection and it melts the inside of this connector. This could be the reason for it not working properly. Also remember that when replaceing these halogen sealed bulbs you can not touch them with your hand while installing them as the oil from your skin will make the bulb blow when turned on. This may be things you already know or have tried, just thought I would give you a starting point that is not to bad to check out. Good luck, Roger

How to change the low beam bulb on driver and passenger sides

the low beam bulb is one with the high beam ,so you need to replace the headlight bulbs, its hard to believe they both went at the same time,i would buy one and replace it if lights still don't work than you might have other issues like maybe a blown fuse.

as for the headlight, did you check the fuse. on some vehicles there is a fuse for the left and right headlight! the fuse should be in the underhood fuse and relay box.

Volvo S40 Low beam headlight

Sounds like a wire to me. It's definitely not fuses (unless the fuses have been split for left and right hand side which I have never come across, but we are talking about volvo lol) so I'd say most likely there'd be a break somewhere in the harness. The driver's side probably blew as all the power gets sent to one side when one bulb isn't working - so it's working twice as hard usually - making it more susceptable to blowing.

Headlights on passenger side not working

all you need is to replace your headlightn relay. in time they get worn out and most of the common one on j3o`s is the driver side. relay is located in the driver side fender corner of firewall next to the cruise conrol bolted by one bolt.
