Question about 2006 Ford Freestyle
I have a 2005 Freestyle and the driver's side heated seat just stopped working. It has 80,000 miles on it. Has anyone been successful in repairing this w/ a fuse or is the problem only fixed at the dealership w/a new element? Any suggestions are appreciated.
If you have a DVOM, set the dial to A/C and check the wire (backprobe if you can) to see if its getting power, (if you get power the heating element is most likely bad) if you dont get any power, trace the wire to wherever its connected to, and set your DVOM to Ohms, and see if there is a high or low resistance between the beginning and the end of the wire. if theres a high resistance that means broken wire, if low then there could be something wrong with the switch that turns the seat on, (probably best to go to the dealership for that item)
Hope this helps!
