Question about Hyundai Elantra

1 Answer

Keys are locked in the trunk of a 2008 Hyundai Elantra, only set. AAA came and unlocked the door setting the alarm off and this does not allow the trunk button to work. Is it possible to get into the trunk without getting a new key from a dealer.

The only safe way to get in the trunk is to get a key from the dealer. If you fill up to it you can remove the back seat and get in the trunk that way.

My keys are locked in my trunk. AAA was able to open the door but the alarm is on so there is no power in the car. vw says new key will take 3 or 4 days. I need my car!!! 2013 passat

Ther is a lock at the driver door. The plastic cover where the key insert slot should be pulls off. A lock smith will have a master slide set that would be able to unlock the car. You can access the boot by opening the split fold down rear seats.

How do i open the trunk without a key? I locked the keys in the trunk. The AAA guy opened the doors, but now the car is in theft mode and the interior trunk switch does not work. What do I do???

The back of the rear seat can be lowered for trunk access by either a pull cord at the bottom or the buttons at the top, depending on model

Locked my keys in the trunk of a 2009 hyundai elantra

if the car has a fold down back seat fold it down and try to reach in the trunk there should be a safety pull to open it or if you can reach the keys you are done ! if it does not have a fold down seat the fastest and safest way is call a locksmith or AAA if you have the service you dont want to start using a coat hanger or a slimjim on that car you could break the plastic clips that hold the linkage rods in place in the door and do some damage to the car . hope this helps

Keys lock in trunk alarm will not allow trunk switch to lock

The solution is to pull out the back seat to get into the trunk. There are two bolts holding the bottom part of back seat (bolts located between bottom and top sections). Then pull out bottom section of back seat and you see the hinge for the top section, remove the bolts and then you can lift up and access the trunk. It's not that hard.

2005 Hyundia Elantra alarm goes off for no real reason

When a battery starts to go bad it will set the alarm off constantly. Check the date on your battery and if it's between 3 and 4 years old most likely this is the cause. I had it happen before.
