Question about 1995 GMC Sierra
Unfortunately that is the first signs of transmission failure. It will get worse from there. The clutches in your transmission are starting to slip and you will probably start to notice this in 2nd gear before to much longer. The hardest strain on a transmission is actually when it is in high gear because the rpms are so low. Sorry for the bad news. The good news is that you can find these transmissions in a lot of salvage yards and most are already removed. If you have a 2 wheel drive and you do your own work then I would recommend buying a Haynes manual at Advanced Auto Parts or Auto Zone. Haynes will guide you step by step in the removal and replacement of your tranny. Good Luck, Roger
