Our car will be going along and it just stalls, if we let it sit for a awhile it will start again, only to stall after a few minetes.

You should check into the knock sensor (oil sending unit) That was the problem with my 94' Olds Cutlass. Though it had the 3.1 V6, the 2.2 through 3.1 have near the same wiring diagrams.

I have a cavalier that did the same thing it would run fine then run like **** for like thirty seconds then die and not start for a while mine was the fuel pump

Check your air intake tubes they need to fit each connection tight also could be the MAF Sensor "Mass Air Flow Sensor" on the intake tubes could be the faulty sensor or dirty if dirty buy some MAF cleaner at any major auto parts store. And disconnect the battery and take the intake tube apart and spray the cleaner in the tube where the sensor sits this is all you have to do to clean it out. Then put everything back together they way it should go put them tight or the engine will hesitate.
