Question about 2003 Ford Escape

1 Answer

My 2003 Ford Escape will not start. There is electricity and all the gauges show life and the radio works and everything. However when I try to turn on the vehicle is sounds like the factory alarm will not let me turn on the vehicle. There is an ignition kill in the factory alarm and it sounds like the alarm is active when I try and turn on the car. Please help me fix the problem so that I can turn on the vehicle.

My 2003 Ford escape power steering wheel got stiff out of nowhere, right after I started having problems with my battery and alternator... help please

You have an electrical problem. Power steering cannot work without power and since you are having battery and alternator problems, you are probably trying to operate the car with a dead battery or faulty electrical system.
Have the electrical system checked by a few different reputable mechanics and get 3 quotes for repairs without sharing the information from one shop to the next.
Make sure you understand the warranty on the work and the cost of labor before you choose a service provider.

2003 ford escape failed to start; jump start was successful, but before that could happen, I noticed keyless entry not working, radio/clock completely dead, dome lights not working even with car running.

all those radio .ketless entry all inside are run by a body control module that is locator under the dash in the center behind the radio. do not confuse it with the ecu, the ecu is under the hood

I have a 2003 ford escape with a factory stereo in it. every time i shift out of park the stereo stops working. if i shift back to park it works again. any ideas?

Sound like the shift mechanism is rubbing against a wire or two which is affecting the radio. Do it slowly and see which gear selection makes the radio stop working. After that, you will need diagrams from the web which shows you the dashboard location for wires to fix this problem.

2003 ford escape, change battery

you may have to have the computer reflashed. Only the dealer can do that also. that is very bad for all electrical components in the car.
