You should try changing the spark plugs and the wires. also try to change the air-filter.

I changed my fuel pressure regulator in my 92 sedan deville and now i get worse miles per gallon than before

the fuel pressure regulator will not do it. you need to look at spark plugs ,wires ,air filter, fuel filter. tires pressure if tires are under pressure can cause bad gas mpg

How many miles do u get for a full tank of gas on a v8

It just depends on your tank size. You probably get about 15 -18 miles per gallon. 13 gallon tank would be around 200 miles. 15 gallon tank around 232 miles.

2002 deville cadillac gas gauge changes level of gas at times when i have driven just a mile or two

You need to replace your fuel level sensor. But previous post is right, if you're comfortable running based on fuel remaining and kilometers, don't sweat it. If you're keen, the fuel level sensor can be accessed from the trunk (under the liner on the passenger side, beneath the silver panel).

scrap this gas guzzling machine and recommend an electric car or a peugeot 107 or a citreon C1 that do 50+++++ miles per gallon

I change my plugs now I get 8 miles per gallon & car shuts down after travling 20 miles

What brand of spark plugs did you use? I typically like to use AC Delco Platinums for anything GM. They must also be gapped properly. If it has the 4.6L, they should be gapped at .050" (1.27mm)

My speedometer for 2001 cadillac reads 80 mph when I'm only going 40 mph. plus my odometer just jumped 12,000 miles in less than 4 months when i've only driven the car locally about 6 times.

Hello,
It sounds like you need to have a shop look at this with a scanner with a data reading capability. The reason for this is that you can drive and see actual miles per hour and compair it with the reading on the dash. If the dash and scaner read the same thing you may either have a squed speed sensor or a bad PCM. If they don't agree you will need an IPC the reason for this Logic is because the IPC gets its information from the PCM. The IPC is the Instrument Panel Cluster and the PCM is the Powertrain Control Module.

I hope this helps,
Roy

Recommended maintenence for 1999 cadillac such as throtle body, power steering, transmission, coolant, etc.

there is no maint required for the throttle body per say, just clean it if you develope a problem like stalling at idle, same goes for power steering, but a flush of the fluid every 30,000 miles is helpfull to extend life of pump and steering rack, the transmission needs to be given a fluid and filter change at least every 60,000 miles, the filters replaced for fuel and air every 30,000 miles and the spark plugs replaced at 100,000 miles.
