As I suggested there is no adjustment, but you CAN have it self adjust if you have a volt meter. He are the directions :

If Throttle Sensor is replaced or removed, it is necessary to install in proper position, by following the procedures shown below:

    1. Install Throttle Sensor body in the Throttle Chamber. Do not tighten bolts. Leave bolts loose.
    2. Connect Throttle Sensor harness connector.
    3. Start engine and warm up sufficiently.
    4. Measure output voltage of Throttle Sensor using voltmeter.
    5. Adjust by rotating Throttle Sensor body so that the output voltage is 0.45 - 0.55 volts.
    6. Tighten mounting bolts.
    7. Disconnect Throttle Sensor harness for a few seconds and then reconnect it.

-With the locking tab of the connector pointing up and looking at the back of the connector as the wires from the wire harness go into it, terminal #1 is the one on the LEFT. #2 is in the MIDDLE and #3 is on the RIGHT.

-Output voltage is measured across terminals #2 and #3 from the harness side of the connector

Please let me know if this helps.

1998 taurus, tps went out, i replaced it runs rithg, now the service engine light os on code says tps. how do get the light out

If your TPS has slotted mounting holes then it is adjustable. It may be out of adjustment.
What needs to be done is the signal wire needs to be back probed to a reading of about .5 volts. But if you don't have a digital multi meter you may just try adjusting one way or the other and driving for a bit so the PCM can run through its test and see if the light goes out.

I have a 97 ford probe 4cyl. I'd like to adjust the tps with a voltage meter, but want to be sure I do it right! My check engine light isn't on but car idles rough. I've had the tps replaced in...

wheather your a2 .0 or 2.5 at idle key on engine off its is 0.7V to 1.1 V. you test it by doing a sweep, with your volt meter, voltage should increase with smooth throttle movement there should be no drop out or glitches and at wide open throttle you should reach 4.5 V , (***) wide open throttle

Tps sensor

There are 2 screws that hold the TPS on to the side of the throttle body. Before you take the old TPS off, note where the TPS is located regarding the adjustment slots. Remove the 2 screws, and remove the old TPS, install the new one, and try to achieve the SAME adjustment. If you get the adjustment wrong, the engine will idle up & down. If it does, move the new TPS slightly until the idle smooths out.
