It is known as a speedometer. The nylon drive gear is either worn out or the cable connector has come loose from the transmission. Buy a Haynes Service Manual.

Speed and rpm is jumping around at same time why

the wheel speed sensor on the rear deferential will cause your speedometer to stop working. But for both the gagues to jump around the dash may need to be replaced. I have also seen a low charged battery or bad or loose connection.

As im driving the speed gague keeps raising as im driving , and stays there when i stop

You have a defective speedometer stepper motor that operates the needle. You will need to remove the cluster from whatever this vehicle is and have it repair by a local cluster repair center. See your local dealer for names of shops that do this repair.

All warning lights flashing on dash of chevy trailblazer 2003. Runs fine all gagues go dark like truck is turned off but runs fine

All warning lights flashing on dash of my 2002 chevy trailblazer. Runs fine all gagues go dark and turn back on every now and then. Also the gagues all go to the right or stick half way like I am idling at 5000 and going at a speed of 60mph when I am sitting still. I am thinking it has something to do with my computer because the rest of the truck is working just fine.

Gagues stopped working, even the digital readout, on my 2003 Chevy Suburban The wire harness is connected properly. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

I'm going to assume you checked the fuses, and say that the display panel will have to be replaced. On these the display is all one piece, and when one gage goes out it effects the whole thing. Some of these display panels had in line fuses on the inside circuitry, so you may be able to pull the display and change the fuse. Others were built as a sealed unit and cannot be taken apart.
