VW had this problem with certain AEG engines. One of the #2 piston rings were placed upside down (beveled edge) using 1 - 2 qts a month. It doesnt cause a DTC to be stored, it doesn't smoke at the exhaust nor wet the plugs. So since this two brands are related in almost every way, it might be something to think about. Yes, my wife's NB has this problem and still going strong at 190K mi, something good while having this issue.

If its not leaking it must be piston rings or valve seals worn

What is the best engine oil to use on my audi A6 quatro 3 litre automatic 56 plate

Usually the oil cap will state the weight of the oil needed. Like 5W20. As far as the brand. If you keep up on the oil changes , you can use the cheaper oil. It works just fine for the 3000 mile range. If you tend to miss oil changes, then go with the better brands, as the viscosity will last longer with them.

Is it possible to get fumes in the cabin of an Audi TT convertible - I notice after long journeys, in excess of 100 miles I often feel nauseous?

if you are driving in the open and you have your hood down it would be unlikely for fumes to come out and stay in the car. if your hood is up check your exhaust pipes

Type of oil for audi tt 01

The best oil for that engine is mobile1 0w-40 european car oil, that is what the dealerships will use.

Depending on what temperatures you will be operating in you can also use a 5w-30 or a 10-w30.

Always use a fully synthetic oil in the Audi 1.8t, they have lots of sludge problems due to the turbo overheating the oil and breaking it down.

Audi tt 180 quattro car wont start. EPC and E-M system lights on

I would suggest you check oil levels etc. Generally these cars suffer from the air mass meter / air sensor problems aswell as coil problems too. Did you ever get a solution to the problem?

Misfiring

There are some common things that causes a misfire, one of them could be a faulty spark plug or a bad spark plug wire, another could be a clogged fuel filter, if both of those solutions fail try having the timing checked. Good luck.
