If you have the tranny dipstick, then run car in park, let warm up a little and then check the dipstick.
Not all models have dipsticks. Especially on the foreign cars. On many of the foreign cars, you have to raise/jack the car up, then look on tranny, there will be an upper and a lower plug, remove the upper plug, stick your finger in the hole; The fluid level should be at top of the hole and you should be able to feel it with your finger. If you cant, then get a bottle of fluid recommended for you car, put a tip cap on it, attach a rubber hose to the tip and fill it to top of the hole.

If you have too much fluid it can lead to foaming. I would check that first.

ESSO LT71141 or TOTAL ATF H50235 Can only be purchased at your local Suzuki dealer as far as I know. But you for sure do want to use the correct fluid so get that fluid and nothing else.

there is a plug not a dip stick. drive the car on ramps,block the wheels and lets begin.slid under look for the passenger drive axle were it goes into the trans.right below the axle is the fill plug.it is a 5/16 square hole,u can buy the tool # DW260 -070.or do what i did and make my own,take a 5/16 peace of key stock and a 6 inch long 3/8 drive extension a grinder and a file.us the key stock as a templet and machine the extension down to size and there u go ready to work

2: check fuses.
3: scan it, or get it scanned. for transmission errors.
if car wont move and RPM goes high as foot presses guess
that is trans slip.
of RPM (engine) does not rise or only tiny,

2004 suzuki verona: the transmission starts off in third gear..idle Here's one for you ..... My verona started doing the samething . Checked the code (crankshaft sensor A low voltage) cleared the code , but it came back ...Checked all fuses, all OK.. Started the car , while running pulled the fuse for trans control mod . Transmission is starting to slip, where is the trans. filter and what kind of lube? gear oil 80-90 wght or trans fluid?


Lets see...gear oil is only used in manual transmissions and filters are only used on automatic transmissions...what are we talking about here?

2004 suzuki verona hold button is stuck


The hold button on my 2004 Suzuki Verona comes on out of no where flashing and it stops my car from excelerating. I haveto pull over and shut the car off then on in order to contiue driving. After 2k dollars in reapirs over the last 3 months...I just want to know if this feature can be disconnected???? I don't need it. Thanks

there is a little dipstick on the top of the trans. You have to look for it as it is not so obvious.

Do you have the owners manual?

Trans fluid should be located near the back right side.A dipstick marked tran or transmission.You add in the hole where the dipstick goes.
