I have an 97 audi a4 1.8t quattro and my back tail light the top one that stays on all the time is not working wat could be the problem

No running daytime running lights or side lights

i had a similar problem with my 97 a4 2.8. i changed my daytime running lights relay and it solved the problem. its located under the steering wheel behind the knee bolster
