Question about 2005 Lincoln LS
EGR Valve-- on the loaded conditions, such as 40mph and approaching a slight hill --Bucking,confused shifts
ETC-- Electronic Throttle Control (TPS-Sensor) Both are probably shot and while the coils may be good now, they won't be in a few months.
You can replace the TPS yourself without replacing the whole Throttle Body as the dealer does for 650.00 The TPS is $60 on Amazon and $75 at auto part store. Amazon is the only place to get an original Motorcraft EGR at around $79. Unplug the vacuum hoses on EGR and plug. Then drive to see if some of this issues go away. Clear codes by disconnecting the battery about one minute. Any relearn stratagy will be better than you have now. Been there done that.

Sounds to me like the transmission fluid is low. Unfortunately there is no dip stick, & must be dealer checked..
