The battery is dead for many reasons. But jump starting the car or getting the battery charged shold get the key out. The battery is hard to run down on the newest cars as the systems shut off with inactivity. The altenator may have stopped but you need to get going again first just to find the problem. Once the car is running cheak to see that all of the warning lights are out with the engine running, If the check engine light or battery light are on thwey will need further looking into. with the car now running you should be able to turn the car off and remove the key. Wight he key removed and the doors closed with the hood open disconnect the battery and claen the cable ends. They may look claean but clean them anyway as the connection problems are the most common problem. Wire brush everything connect the positive first and get it tight then the negative and get it tight too. If it just clicks or the lights come on low the battery is likly to havea problem and may need replaced or shop charged and tested before it's to be trusted again. Jump start or jump charge the battery as the key needs to be removed as the car is worked on. If it was running OK before this happened and the battery checks out with clean cables and the battery charged and it still doesn't run your peoblems go still deeper.

no country.? they sell them and make them outside usa,

the car for sure needs service, the only thing active is head lamps
key off, (and horn and alarm)
1: does the car drive? ok.
2: do the head lights work and glow bright.
3: when you do drive is the CEL lamp in the dash glowing (check engine light)
any way its an electrical failure. if car drives ok...
my guess, HVAC controls messed up.
or a damaged Ignition key switch.

Not the Key but the ignition itself. Replace teh ignition module where the key is inserted to start the vehicle and that should resolve the issue.

Could be the BTSI solenoid in the shifter, have that checked . You may have to buy complete shifter if it proves bad. This would keep you from removing key. Call you local dealer with VIN number and mileage have them check for the recall pertaining to the key rotation, yours may or may not be involved.

Dead battery key stuck in place can't remove clicking noise under hood?

Open the hood and check to see what is clicking and jump start the vehicle to see if it starts.Once it starts then turn the ignition off and see if the key will come out. Also check your mileage and if you have under 36k miles then it is still under warranty.Take it to the dealership and have them check it out.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Battery dead, key stuck in ignition.

I have had the same problem with my daughter's car. She inadvertnetly left the key in the on position and the battery went dead. Apparently an electrical current is neded to withdraw the key. I put a battery charger on the car for several hours and everything worked fine after that.
