This is normally a sign of a poor earthing point or corroded connections within the lighting panel.
Open the lighting cluster and clean all the bulb contact points and check cables earthing points.
Hope this helps - good luck.

I no bulbs were recently replaced, start with checking for corrosion in each bulb socket, signal and brake bulb sockets. Let us know what you find

Check the front and rear turn signals on the left. If both are just as bright as the right turn signals, then the dim bulb is isolated just to the dash. Possibly someone replaced the bulb at one time with the wrong rated bulb. A steady dim bulb doesn't sound like a loose ground. It would probably be going in and out or flickering, and just that one side would not have a separate ground. High resistance in a wire (like broken strands)or a connection could cut the current and cause a dim bulb. If the whole left side is dim, both the dash and the signaling bulbs, start looking for high resistance in that side of the circuit. To thoroughly check it out, probably need a volt meter

Brake/Signal Lights Problem.

Sounds like a ground problem to me. Bulbs are not getting there ground to complete the circuit so they backfed through the other bulbs.

The right turn signal on my 1997 buick park avenue will not work. all other parts of this multi switch work

Does the front and rear light on the right side come on when you activate the switch ?
If a light is out the system won't flash.
If one side comes on and the other does not, the problem is usually in the turn signal switch.

Left turn indicator comes on dimly with application of brakes. No bulbs out.

Lots of possibilities, but the most common is a bad ground of the entire light assembly on the left rear.
That makes the left rear brake filament ground back up through the left rear turn signal ground, through the left rear signal filament, and all the way back up to the dash left indicator light, then finally to chassis ground. Just check if the left brake and left signal are both dim and come on together.

Left directional speed is faster than it is supposed to be; right one is normal speed;

if i understand you the left turn signal blinks faster than the right one.
if that is it it means one of the turn signal bulbs is bad , going bad or is loose. check all bulbs for good connection replace if one is dim or out completely. good luck

Left brake light not working , right turn signal on both tail lights flash

Your problem is that you have a bad earth on the Left hand side rear light so get a jumper lead and put 1end to earth and the other one hold on the light casing or on the black wire on the light and turn on the indecators and it will light up and stop light and rear light will be bright as the same with your head lights if 1 is dim and the others bright its the EARTH WIRE same on the rear its only earth..
Let me know how you get on .. Ron

Electrical blinker problem

If the battery drain gauge is registering the "blinks" there is definitely a short between the two wires. As one signal is told to blink they both get power and split the power causing the dim lights. This extra load is enough to momentarily cause heating in the wires and raise the circuit resistance. I would look at the wires coming from the bulb and find where they meet. They may have fused together above a sharp edge or even the exhaust.

The turn signal will stop flashing and just hold the signal lighted. Is this a car computer issue or can it be fixed by replacing a fuse?

Hey there AMF629,

If the signal comes on at all it's not a fuse.

If it happens on both left and right turn signals, then its the 'Flasher' module. It's usually a small cylindrical shaped module (could be metal or plastic) located under the dash, usually plugged into the fuse box.

If it's only the left or the right, turn on the hazards. Check that all the external lights come on. One is likely out or dim. It needs to be replaced.

The good news is the fixes for this type of problem should cost less than $5.00.

Comment me back if you continue to have problems.
