It needs to be connected to a port on the intake plenum that has full vacuum at idle.That port should be close to the regulator.

If you are getting Fuel in the vacuum line, it sounds like you could have a bad fuel pressure regulator. Check the line that comes off the Fuel pressure regulator. use a hand vacuum pump see if fuel is being pulled out of the regulator.Replace regulator if you find fuel
coming from that vacuum port.

Problem to start engine


Check all of the battery terminals and cables and check the wires on the starter/selonoid, start from the battery and follow the cable out and check all conections , clean and tighten them and if it still does it the starter/selonoid is bad and needs replacement...

You are missing two items that are necessary . you need fuel out of the injectors and compression Run fault codes to find out why there is no injection occurring and have a compression test done to check that the valves are closing

do you mean the pressure relief valve, this is located normally on the low pressure or return side of your fuel rail, this is designed to maintain fuel pressure in your fuel rail constant, e.g. steady running requires steady pressure, acceleration requires increased pressure controled by engine vacuum, if it was on the supply line you can not regulate the pressure supplied to the injecters. stopped engine requires no pressure so the pump gets turned off with the ignitionf

My 1989 mercedes 300e is hard to start in the morning up to about 3 to 4 tries.


The most common cause of this is loss of pressure in the fuel system caused by a defective fuel pump pressure check valve, the valve is part of the fuel pump and to correct it the fuel pump must be replaced.

P0455 - Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detected (Gross Leak)

This diagnosis detects leaks in the EVAP purge line using engine intake manifold vacuum. If pressure does not increase, the ECM will check for leaks in the line between the fuel tank and EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve under the following vacuum test condition. The vacuum cut valve bypass valve is opened to clear the line between the fuel tank and the EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve. The EVAP canister vent control valve will then be closed to shut the EVAP purge line off. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is opened to depressurize the EVAP purge line using intake manifold vacuum. After this depressurization is implemented, the EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve will be closed.

Causes:
- Missing Fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve
- Leak is in line between intake manifold

Solutions:
- Re-tighten or replace fuel tank filler cap
- Replace damaged or leaking EVAP canister
- Replace damaged or leaking lines.

EVAP System Vent Circuit Malfunction

This diagnosis detects leaks in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) purge line using of vapor pressure in the fuel tank. The EVAP canister vent control valve is closed to shut the EVAP purge line. The vacuum cut valve bypass valve will then be opened to clear the line between the fuel tank and the EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve. The EVAP control system pressure sensor can now monitor the pressure inside the fuel tank. If pressure increases, the Engine Control Module (ECM) will check for leaks in the line between the vacuum cut valve and EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve.

Possible causes
- Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Leak is in line between intake manifold and EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve
- Foreign matter caught in EVAP canister vent control valve
- EVAP canister or fuel tank leaks
- EVAP purge line (pipe and rubber tube) leaks
- EVAP purge line rubber tube bent
- Blocked or bent rubber tube to EVAP control system pressure sensor
- Loose or disconnected rubber tube
- EVAP canister vent control valve and the circuit
- O-ring of EVAP canister vent control valve is missing or damaged
- EVAP canister is saturated with water
- EVAP control system pressure sensor
- Absolute pressure sensor

Possible solution
- Loose fuel filler cap
- Leaking fuel filler cap

SOUND LIKE VACUUM LEAK AT INTAKE MANIFOLD LOOK FOR STUCK OPEN PCV VALVE OR LEAKING EGR VALVE GASKET.CHECK MAP SENSOR VACUUM HOSE MAKE SURE ITS CONNECTED AND GETTING VACUUM OR CHECK FOR A DISCONNECTED ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AT MAP SENSOR.IF ALL LOOK GOOD CHECK FUEL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 40 - 50 PSI FOR 98 TO 2001 CADILLACS WITH 4.6 ENGINES CADILLACS 92 TO 97 MODELS WITH ENGINES 4.9 TO 3.8 FUEL PRESSURE 41 - 47 PSI. THATS YOUR FUEL PRESSURES WITH NEW FUEL FILTERS.IF FUEL PRESSURE WAY LOW FUEL FUEL PUMP WEAK.IF FUEL PRESSURE GOES HIGHER THAN NORMAL OR SEE GAS IN FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR VACUUM LINE.FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR IS FAULTY.WEAK IGNITION COIL OR COILS BAD PLUGS WORN DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR WILL CAUSE SPUTTERING.

scan it.to see if the camsensor or crank sensor also egr valve.working.make sure egr valve not stuck open.if all is good.your fuel pressure low.change fuel filter check fuel pressure.if fuel pressure good.you got a intake manifold leak or broke vacuum line .check power brake booster vacuum line.if look good remove brake booster check valve.blow through it.if you can replace it.if not its okay.a bad or dead fuel fuel injectors will cause engine to stall out.

Fuel pressure valve


The fuel pressure valve is usually located at the top of the engine on the intake manifold . It has a vacuum line leading to it.
