SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can changing my oil to a heavier oil reduce a rattling sound from the timing chain?

No that will not work and it can burn out the engine crankshaft and rod bearings. Use no heavier than 10W30W. I have seen this happen 1st hand.

I am trying to put my taiming chain back on on my 2003 x-type jaguar . how do i kno if its in timing and if i rotated the bottom pulley without one of the timing chains on will it be out of time

basic engine principles apply here ,cam timing marks are located on the end of the cam a notch or a little slot whatever you want to call it that lines up with the cam cap .piston at no1 top then inlet valve closed and been closed a short while and exhaust valve closed but moving around to open ,then look for the marks ,and if the book says no5 halfway up and no2 halfway down ignore it as its no doubt a haynes book and they are written by mechanical engineers not motor vehicle technicians .its only a jag and they are not difficult to repair
