You should be getting a check engine light on in the dash.
Tell me more, is it cutting out while driving, stopped, or at idle ?
If you can start it with fluid then it is a fuel problem.
Plug an OBD II reader in and retrieve the code.
Please let me know what you find.

Someone will need to check it over when it fails to start. You need to know if it is not getting fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs.

2002 Kia Optima runs great, transmission has started acting irradcally. it will shift and pull in gear for a short time after starting, but after a few minutes it fails to move the car. I've changed...

Keep driving it like that & it won't work at all

When ever you even think you have a transmission
issue, you immediately stop using the vehicle or you
end up rebuilding the trans, your call, your money & lots of it

Ask yourself ---Why would changing the fluid do anything?

Old oil out / New oil in ?

You change trans fluid because it breaks down from the heat
That is it's job,to remove heat or your trans fails

Trans & Power Steering get changed every 3 years & not
over 30,000 miles ever on ALL Vehicles

When the automatic gearbox changes from 2nd to 3rd, i feel some kind of kick. please reply

Make sure the tranny fluid level is good (check with eng running) a ****/kick is felt when valves start to stick due to contamanation, moisture, dirty fluid, lack of fulid or if the valves start to leak.

Cuts out when running fine. wont start again and gives the symptoms that the car has run out of fuel. it then eventually starts. its as if the fuel needs to be drawn up.

sounds like you have a defective fuel pump (inside the fuel tank). you would need to put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail & monitor the pressure when it stalls. to verify its a fuel problem, disconnect, and spray some starting fluid into the air induction hose. if it starts for a few seconds..its a fuel problem

My truck turns over, but wont start unless I spray starter fulid. What could be the problem?

Could be blocked fuel filter or fuel pum, does it keep running once you stop spraying the starter fluid, Try also cleaning out the throttle that could be restricting the mix.

Exterra slave cylinder bleedinf procedure

for the clutch
open the bleeder valve and wait for the fulid to come out when all the bubbles are gone close it and your done.
dont let it run out of fluid in this time.
for the brakes you do the same thing but start with the wheel the farest from the cylinder and work in closer to the last wheel is done.right rear first then driver rear second passenger front third and driver front wheel last.
thats all the bleed inf you need.dont run out of fluid when bleeding.

thank you
