Always install your remote starter module inside under the drivers dash, never in the engine compartment, your ignition wire is pink

Specifically I'm trying to identify the wire on the spark plug coil assembly to which I should connect the signal wire of a Tachometer to. The wire colours are, red, yellow, green/white, and blue.

It says the tachometer wire is Yellow/Green, you do not have that listed. You will find it in the list below, it is highlighted..

2003 chevy venture problems

Yes the battery can be effected (drain) but in any kind of weather, unless you turn the radio off when you turn the engine off. The power wire in either application is connected directly to the battery as opposed to being connected to the ACC terminal which will be switched on and off with the ignition. You should connect the power wire (should be RED in color) from the radio plug to the terminal (marked "acc") on your fuse box located somewhere under your dash board. It sounds as though it's possible that the RED power wire and the YELLOW "Memory" wire have been switched, the power wire should be switched with the ignition and the Memory wire should be connected directly to a Battery terminal (marked as Batt also on the fuse box) or to the battery itself. All of these wires should be labeled with a small tab indicating there connection. Example Red wire marked (+ poss power), Black wire (- Neg Ground) Yellow wire (Memory) and usually 2 Green, 2Grey, 2 Blue, 2Purple as for the Speakers Poss. & Neg. respectively.

Have a 1992 chevy g20 van. the van has a tv/vcr

you'd have to find out what colored wire is behind the plugged in vcr wire theres gonna be a black n red , or black n yellow ( something like that) the black is ground ( frame/body Connected) the colored wire will usually be the powered side. , then follow that colored wire to the fuse box and relocate that powered side wire to connect to another wire , down at the fuse box that powers up with the key on. just connect it to the appropriate wire. stereo shops or car dealerships can fix that issue real quick. normally for a few dollars.

I want to hook up an amp and speakers to my 2008

The remote wire is an accessory power source, like the ACC line from your radio. (usually the red one). Can also be hooked into anything that has 12v when the ignition is on, like a powered antenna.

Power accessories will not work

There are either one or two fusible links at the starter, and possibly one at the alternator. The fusible links will look like regular wire, but have a smaller gauge fuse wire inside the insulation. While looking at the starter, you will find the large battery cable connected to a 7/16" stud on the solenoid. You will also find two-three smaller wires connected to the same terminal. Check these by pulling on them (four to five lbs. of pull should be sufficient) if you feel any give, or if the insulation breaks and you don't see any wire, then you have found your problem. The fusible links will be easily identified by the texture of the insulation. The insulation generally feels much softer than the insulation on the other wires around them. Test the wire on the rear of the alternator the same way. If you only see one wire on the rear stud of the alternator, then it does not have a fusible link connected there, and they are all at the starter. Look for orange wires that change color after going through a black plastic connector about 3-5 inches from the terminal connection.
