You have a build up of oil/water in the resevoir on your air intake duct, take the two clamps off, one on the throttle body, the other off the air filter box and spray the duct work with brake fluid cleaner (outside if possible) make sure you spray the resevoir, then wipe clean your throttle body with a cloth sprayed with carb cleaner. After the duct work is dry reassemble, clear your codes with a code reader and you should be good to go

Run into one of the big autoparts places like advanced auto, autozone, or Pep Boys, I believe they will all give free trouble code scan, which should pinpoint problem better, and save time and money. If fix isn't obvious from codes, then get back to us with those codes and we'll advise you further.

This is a safety feature that is triggered when the Electronic Throttle controller detects a problem with the gas pedal itself, the throttle body, or related circuitry. It is recommended that you bring your vehicle to a professional who can properly diagnose and repair this type of problem due to the safety issue related to it. My suggestion is the dealership.

Engine bogs down when attempting to accellerate

Is this a carbureted engine? If so, there's a little pump on the carburetor that squirts more gas into it when you hit the pedal. The diaphragm might be rotten and need replacement.

Service stabilitrak and reduce engine power on my 2012 chevy equinox and suggestions on what it could be also had a bunch of codes for timing position and I replaced all timing components

The reduced engine power light is most likely setting the stabilitrack light to come on. The reduced engine power light is normally set when the computer senses an issue with the throttle actuator assembly. This actuator assembly needs a corolation signal from the gas pedal sensor to operate properly. In my opinion and experience in the automotive repair industry, the throttle actuator assembly is more prone to failure than the gas pedal sensor.

2003 Chevy Trailblazer engine power lose light come on

Hi Steve , your vehicle has electronic throttle control . I don't know if you are aware of this. The gas pedal have position sensors an a wiring connector with 4-6 wires .these wires are connected to the engine computer . an there is a electric motor on the throttle body assembly , the computer opens an closes the throttle . You probably have codes stored in the engine computer .
Reduced Engine Power Mode When the PCM detects a condition with the TAC system the PCM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
?€¢
Acceleration limiting--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.

?€¢
Limited throttle mode--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.

?€¢
Throttle default mode--The control module will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.

?€¢
Forced idle mode--The control module will perform the following actions:

-
Limit engine speed to idle by positioning throttle position, or by controlling fuel and spark if throttle is turned off.

-
Ignore accelerator pedal input.

?€¢
Engine shutdown mode--The control module will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

Reduced engine power

Have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ! Do you know what electronic throttle control is ? The gas pedal assembly has electrical connector an sensors inside ,hooked to the PCM / ECM - engine computer . The engine computer uses these position sensors inputs to control the DC motor on the throttle body to open the throttle plate to control the speed . Plus there are position sensors inside the throttle body to input PCM/ECM to see if it's calculations are corect . Your best bet maybe to take it to a qualified repair shop .

Hello, Check the wiring at the throttle body on the motor that drives the throttle plate. Wires can be broken inside the insulation or bad contact at the connector.

My 2000 gmc jimmy will move real slow put the rpm's continue to rise as you press on gas pedal, then you let up off the pedal and press it again the vehicle will move normally, what would cause this?

This problem could be as simple as a TPS (throttle position sensor). Some vehicles are now drive by wire. This means that there is no actual throttle cable. When the gas pedal is depressed, it sends a signal to the CPU and tells how far the pedal has been pushed. How many miles do you have on this? Sometimes a plugged catalytic converter can cause a vehicle to accellerate slowly and cause you to "butterfly" the pedal and make it hard to get over 60-70 MPH. Hope this gives you some ideas.
