Question about 1997 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
You know I have seen this before and it could be just that a good tune up could help, from wires to all the filters but I wanted to tell you a problem that I found on the 4.3. I found one time that the thermostat had stuck in the open position causing the computer to think that the engine was cold all the time, thus dumping more fuel into the motor all the time. Now this may not be your case at all but if you are getting really bad mileage then it could very well be your solution. The thermostat is not that expensive and depending on your skill level can be done at home.
