You wont if you remove your negative battery cable from the battery.then remove wires from your starter and then remove the two mounting bolts from your starter and there you have it.

2000 Mercedes s430 does anyone tell me how to install hydrulic lifter on 4.2 engine is there anything I should be careful with so I won't damage anything

Yes keep the rockers arms in line and put the back in the same position, same side. Just a note. I usually replace all the parts, when involving lifters. Really has to do with mileage and wear and tear.

My 2003 Kia Sedona won't start. The Alternator and battery have been recently replaced. The interior lights come on. It won't jump start. Any ideas?

Alternator doesn't have anything to do with starting the car, it supplies power to the system once the engine runs. Does your starter crank the engine? Do you get spark? Is fuel pressure correct?

Started motor problems on Toyota Camry 2000

You need a new starter bendix, or a whole starter. Best do it soon before you tear the teeth of the flex plate. Once you do that you have to pull the transmission to change it.

How do i replace the battery on my 1999 volvo v40

No danger in electrocuting yourself. Just don;t let the wrench come in contact with the batter post and another piece of metal at the same time. The clip is at the lower left of the battery tray and slides left to right and grabs onto the lip of the battery. you'll also need the security code for your radio to reprogram it once your new battery is in. It should be written in your owners manual. If not you'll have to contact your local Volvo dealer with your VIN number. By the way most Auto Parts store will install a battery if you purchase it from them at no additional charge.

How do I replace the starter on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid?

Before changing a starter, you need to do some testing. First, check that your battery is holding 12v or better. Next, check that there is 12v at the main connection on the starter. Then chjeck that with the key turned to "start" there is 12v at the small terminal on the starter. If not, check the relay that operates the starter.(it may be bad). If readings are good, and block ground and positive cable is connected and clean, replace starter.
To remove starter, disconnect positive cable from battery, unbolt starter, remove harness. Sometimes removal involves twisting unit and manuvering around stuff that's in the way. If you find that does not work, then remove whatever is keeping it from coming out. Yes: it comes out from underneath. (unless you see an obvious clear path to remove from above there is no set rule, just do what's easier) Replacement is the opposite of tricks. If your radio has an anti theft code, know it before you start or after you are finished it won't work. You will loose settings though.
good luck
