Question about 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Open Question

Hello NAD hello I have a colleague whose vehicle 2002 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA equipped with transponder Key IMMO BOX fitted with eeprom 93LC66 is actually parked in my workshop. The reason being that it can not start because the engine ECU that was faulty has been replaced with another engine ECU. Suspecting the immobilizer circuit that may need synchronization of this New engine ECU with the IMMO BOX, and not having informations about the steps to be followed in order to perform this synchronization, this is the reason i am contacting you to know if i can have PAYABLE INFORMATIONS that will help me to match this new engine ECU with the IMMO BOX and therefore the Transponder Key. Please if you have any PAYABLE informations that could help in this case, let me know. Serge Ngako

Try these easy things...take off clean and reconnect the battery cables, take to Auto Zone for a FREE computer hook up. More than likely if the battery hook up doesn't work it's the oxygen sensor.

SOURCE: engine light continualy flickers and vehicle wont start

There is a fault somewhere in the fuel/emissions system that causes your vehicle to run in its "limp" mode. This is a safety feature that protects the engine from damage associated with improperly functioning components. you can take it to the dealer or a parts store to have the code read and find out what needs to be replaced.

I cant start my car because it has immobilised

factory IMMO or Aftermarket?
how do you know that, dash cluster lamp IMMO glows.
how? or just wont start and you assume it?
It is an option, i checked. on the new car.

due to battery disconnected?
or you did so to reset IMMO?
you need to check fuses first.
then scan the PCM first

disconnect battery longer.? say 1/2hr
do so at the NEG lug. for safety
IMMOs are reset them selves each key on, but
pulling battery can help. but the IMMO will need to discharge
its internal capacitors fully, thus the 1/2 hr delay.
there are tricks to discharge faster but, that varies.

2004 Grand Vitara. Warming the car this morning, locked it.Came back with remote and a key and the doors would not unlock.Engine was running with the other key in it. Had to have a locksmith break in. Why...

don't have 2 fobs?
it cam with 2,
and the battery must be good.(for buttons to work on fob)
never run any car with only 1 fob or one key.
or get locked out.
are you saying the metal cut key end (pure mechanical ) failed?

my car has a real key with a a transponder inside .
it can open 2 ways, the keyfob buttons, (takes a good battery)
and the key metal end.

get a spare fob and program it.

now you have 2 like you should.

Key wont unlock door suzuki grand vitara

Not a car expert but have some common sense advice---is it possible the vehicle was re-keyed before you got it? Someone may have lost the original keys and resorted to just using the other feature---a year is a long time not to know about this---I should not talk as recently got a vehicle where owner said rear window would not open for last two years=that vehicle has child safety locks on rear doors that also disable windows--needless to say nothing wrong.

I would talk to Suzuki if the key box is a factory installed item to see if it has a way of locking the physical keys out.

Worth asking---if after market item it may have been installed in a way that causes this issue.

JAGUAR XK8 immo dumpfile corrupted

When you get a new key the chip needs to be programmed to the Key transponder module, if it will not program then the new key is bad, (very common). You must also program all keys at once.
If your key is good and you are certain then the Key Transponder Module could be bad, If this is the case then once it is replaced the system needs to be reprogrammed by Jaguar. No one can send you the correct file, the car needs to be programmed with the factory WDS diagnostic computer or the IDS system.
Sorry. The only way to match the KTM (immo) and the ecm is to use those diagnostic computers.
