Is there any cheap solutions to fix this? I'm thinking of opening the oil pans and probably changing the oil pans and gaskets. I've never opened an oil pan and don't feel much confident about it.

That doesn't sound bad to me for a car with 120 on the clock.I would just keep an eye on the fluid levels on your trip and of course bring some extra trany fluid and oil just incase you need to add but I don't see that happening.

Trouble shooting 2009 chev.aveo gearbox leaking oil on pan gasket how do i repair the leak on the gearbox

Determine if it trans fluid(red) or engine oil. If the trans pan gasket is leaking, drain it (By slowly remove the pan) and replace it. Don't use the rubber gasket. Use cork or silicone. If oil, coming between the engine and trans. This would be a rear main seal on the engine. Trans has to be pulled to replace it.

I have a 1987 Plymouth voyager with a 3.0L V6 and I have a leak between the oil pump and the oil pan how can I fix it

It's probably the pan gasket so I would drop the pan and replace the gasket, bit first just check all the pan bolts and make sure they aren't just loose and causing the problem.

I have a 1999 Plymouth Breeze it has 98000 miles and it just started leaking oil. It leaks only when I park it. It is not leaking in or on the enginee and i dont smell anything. what could be wrong.

You have to get the car up off the ground & properly support it,
and look for the leaks

We can not guess or do that for you over the internet

What kind of oil motor or trans

Check the transaxle drive axle seals or oil pan on trans

Hi i have a 1994 dodge caravan it is leaking oil can this be fix im worry that we would have to save money for a van for my kids thanks

The Chrysler minivan products all had leaking problems. I have had 5 or 6 different Dodge or Plymouth minivans from 88 to 99. How bad is it. The most common thing is Valve cover leaks. Front and rear seals in the engine leak as well as the oil pan gasket. If its leaking a little bit at a time open the hood and look at the front and rear of the engine. Do you see grease and oil that has gone down the sides of the engine? Do you see a lot of grease on the engine with some clean streaks going through it. You may be able to see where its leaking from. If you know someone that knows what their doing have them change the leaky gasket/s. If not you can probably have it repaired for less than buying another van unless other things are seriously wrong with the van.
Hope this helps... Dale

On the back of the engine of a plymouth breeze there is a metal plate that bolts to the engine it has a bad gasket and i leaking oil. is this common and do i have to pull the engine to change the gasket...

are you taking about between the engine and trans?? because that is the rear main seal, and the metal plate is the flex plate. it doesnt contain oil.. can you clarify where the metal plate is??

Severe oil leak

Depending upon engine, and year, these cars get either oil pan and / or intake gasket leaks, with an occasional head gasket leak. If it is a 3.1 it is probably the intake leaking. But, who knows, as there is not much info to go on here ( year, engine size, etc ). Too, did you just get an oil change ( maybe the oil drain plug or oil filter are leaking ) ?

Oil leak 3.o caravan?

No it doesn't have an external oil pump but the oil leak happens from the oil pan gasket, we have a 99 breeze with exactly the same problem, it's not gonna hurt the car too much but it's annoying to keep looking at the oil level all the time, what you can do is either use stop leak oil treatment and mix it with the engine oil, it'll stop the leak a little bit and the other way is to open the oil pan and seal it again with another gasket, there are areas like junkyards where you can go and get the parts for cars like this ( very cheap solution). Hope it helps and please don't forget to rate the answer it helps me. thanks! P.S. Comment if you need more advice.

Oil leak in a 98 plymouth breeze 2.0

I've had a 1990 Acclaim, a 1990 Shadow, and a 1998 Breeze, all have a head gasket leak. The Breeze was the only one to have oil leak and it was on the rear of the engine. I'd guess that's your problem.
