Seat belt cannot be repaired, they MUST be replaced. They are called SAFTY belts for a good reason.

Adjusting a slow seat belt retractor

Oh dear. I have the same problem with my vehicles. As explained to me by dealer, the return system on these set belts are similar to those on tape measures and the pull start on a lawn mower. They're a spring steel coil type thing that simply gets tired over time. That's why they'll retract with help. The only answer they've had is to replace them. Easier on some vehicles than others. If your seat belt is, like my GMC, enclosed in the plastic interior component by the door latch, then it can become easier and more cost effective to have it done by a repair shop. I checked my Chilton/Haynes repair manuals (and I have many covering different makes and models), and this is one of the few areas they don't cover. A shop will also be able to tell you what new models may have the interchangeable belt systems. If I were you, and decide to have it done, I'd replace all of the belt systems since the interior is going to be torn apart anyway. And even though the drivers seat belt system gets the most wear, they are all 13 years old and mold/rot can hide in many places. And you may be able to get a full set out of a newer wrecked model. Best of luck.

Where is the location for seat belt light fuse in a 1990 ford thunderbird

Removing a fuse is not the correct way to repair that. You need to diagnose your seat belt warning system and repair it accordingly.

C320 rear seat belt stuck

Unfortunetly the only repair for that issue is to replace the complete seat belt mechanism. Basically the internal winding mechanism has gone out and will not retract the seat belt.

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer...the front passenger seatbelt will not retract properly...how can I fix it?

seat belts cary a 5 year 60,000 mile waranty from the manufacturer. if your car falls under his take it to your dealer. as far as repairing the seat belt, there is no repair procedures for seat belt due o the extreme liability with repairing this. seat belts typicaly are inexpensive and are available only at your local dealer.....hope this helps, your thumbs up is appreciated

Repair seat belt latch - stuck- 1998 buick park-

Seat belts are usually not repairable. The only thing that can be done is to check and make sure nothing is stuck in it or that it is not twisted. You have the kind that is in the seat back itself. These are a little more difficult to remove from the seat because it is so easy to break the plastic trim covers.Best thing to do if not familiar with auto repair to go to the dealer or auto repair shop that you trust and have them repair it.Good luck.
