Try putting the front on first there is a lip on the pan that goes where your harmonic balancer is towards the front of the motor.

Oil pan removal?

Im not sure if you are talking about the motor pan or the tranny pan. But I have lifted the motor and tranny together on a vehicle to change the motor pan and mounts before. I remember having to loosen the fan shroud. Undo linkage on the tranny and make sure the shifter boots were loose. The key for me was going real slow with the crane and having extra eyes around. It was a pain but it worked out.

Were is the location of mitsubishi mirage 2001 transmission filter????

im not sure if this model is service able for a non mechanic. but the tranny filter is located behind the tranny pan of the transmission. you will need to drain all of the transmission fluid before you take the pan off. the filter in itself is very easy to get off. it may get a little frustrating getting all of the bolts off the tranny pan. should be any where from 15 to 20 of them depending on the model. once you get the pan off, look at the new filter and judge by that on how to remove the old filter. after you get the old filter off repeat the steps of removel in the opposite order. now most tranny filters will come with a new tranny pan gasket. if it doesn't i strongly recommend buying a new one. they should not run you more than 10 to 20 bucks at any local parts store. it also would not hurt to line either side of the gasket with permtex ( i would go for the high heat red tube) line the bolt holes up and bolt the tranny pan back to the transmission. be sure not to over tighten the bolts. the tranny is only aluminum. after you have everything back together look in your owners manual to see the specific type of tranny fluid you will need and the exact amount you will need. once that is done you should be good to go

What do i need to do to change the transmition fluid

Buy a new gasket and screen. Get under there with a bucket and unscrew all the bolts holding the tranny pan up. Try to let one corner down first, so it drains into the bucket. It will be real messy. Put in the new screen and gasket. Be sure the bolt holes on the pan are flat. They get pushed in if tightened too much. Bolt up the pan again, tightening the bolts evenly and not too tight. Add six quarts of tranny fluid. Run it and check for leaks. That's it.

first you need to buy transmission fluid new filter and new gasket.you need 11.4 pints of transmision fluid.raise front of vechicle.set parking brake.block both back wheels.besure support vechicle weight with jack stands. get a drain pan.if your transmission pan dont have a drain plug.loosen rear pan bolts a few turns.remove the front and side transmission pan bolts. let fluid drain.remove tranny pan. then clean old gasket material from transmission and pan carefully.dont scratch or damage surface.clean old tranny bolts using brake cleaner or buy new tranny bolts.you have to put a tiny film of rtv silicone on tranny bolts so they wont leak.carefully remove old tranny filter and put on new filter.clean all grease grim away from tranny pan it should be **** and span because.you might need a little gasket adhesive to hold gasket in place while putting pan back on transmission.to line up bolt holes.loosely put all bolts in you have to move pan a little to get holes line up.when all is finish put tranny fluid back in.besure you put 11.4 pints back in that about 6.5 quarts. make sure tranny fluid level is right before driving vechicle.l

Wanting to know how difficult it is to swap 4.3 out in my 1995 chevy s10 blazer, like tranny bolt removal and anything that might be of difficulty that may require specially tools. its also a 4x4

Changing an engine in any car is a difficult task. Changing an engine in a 4.3 vortec 4wd is probably one of the most difficult trucks to do. In order to get the pan out, you have to remove the axle's in so you can get the front diff out of the way so you dont smash the pan on either the new and the old engine. You have to take off front driveshaft and the starter on the passanger side is nearly impossiable to get too. Good luck!

Leaking transmission fluid

Does this vehicle have a transmission pan? If so, is there a gasket betwixt pan and motor? Bad gasket? Or is the leak out the side/back of the tranny where the seals are?
