Question about 1993 Honda Accord
Hi i have a problem with my car. when i put the car in drive the drive 4 light starts blinkin and then i loose power so i have to shift down to 2nd gear to build up speed then change back to 4th gear. althought i shift to 2nd gear the drive 4 light keeps blinking . please help me i been tryin to find out what is the problem for the past few months thank you. darrell my car is a 93 honda accord 10th ann. edition.
Sorry to deliver bad news but that blinking light means you have a code that has been sent to the computer. That code usually means the transmission is about to go out. If it seems you loose power in fact the clutches in the transmission are more than likely slipping. This could be from wear or you might get lucky and your transmission may be really low on fluid. My daughter had thesame year honda and she was checking the oil level for about a year thinking it was the transmission dip stick. You may be able to go to Auto Zone or Advanced Auto parts and get them to pull the code out of the computer to tell you what is the problem they usually do this for free but the problem is a lot of them do not have the older codes anymore. But if its free then its a try. Hope this helped, Good lick
