Sorry to deliver bad news but that blinking light means you have a code that has been sent to the computer. That code usually means the transmission is about to go out. If it seems you loose power in fact the clutches in the transmission are more than likely slipping. This could be from wear or you might get lucky and your transmission may be really low on fluid. My daughter had thesame year honda and she was checking the oil level for about a year thinking it was the transmission dip stick. You may be able to go to Auto Zone or Advanced Auto parts and get them to pull the code out of the computer to tell you what is the problem they usually do this for free but the problem is a lot of them do not have the older codes anymore. But if its free then its a try. Hope this helped, Good lick

This may be a bearing that has failed inside the transmission, when you take the load off it by putting in the clutch it quiets down. The noise could also be the CV axle joints, but that would be a clicking noise on turns under power light throttle. I suggest you drain some fluid from the transmission and see if it has metal filings in it.
Hi the firing order for your Honda is 1 3 4 2. No. 1 is the cylinder at the pulley end of the engine. Honda put there engines in backwards to most front wheel drive vehicle, the pulley end is on the right when u lift the bonet ( the hood ) Hope this helps you. John ( South Wales UK )
pull one of the plugs out leave the plug wire on it and rest it on something metal on the car and have someone try to turn it over.if no spark can be seen try changing your crankshaft sensor
