Question about 2005 Ford Taurus

1 Answer

I had to get my 2005 Ford Taurus Inspected but it would not pass Inspection without the passanger side mirror being moved because of a crack in it. We then decided to move it but since the windows wee powered we had to cut the wires thinking it was only to the mirror. We then relized we could not get the Driver Window up or interior lights on. What should we do?

How do I get rid of all the codes to pass nj inspection

You would need a clearing device that is usually part of a code reader the is plugged into the pcm /ecm port of your vehicle. Without it the computer will store the code for as long as the defect exists.. If it is a temporary thing like loose gas cap etc. The light goes off after about 20-40 miles of driving after the problem is corrected.

How do I replace a outside minor on a 2005 ford Taurue

There are three bolts that hold it on. PLus the wiring. The triangle above the door panel pops loose, behind the mirror bracket. Be careful, it has a tab that goes down behind the door panel. Pop it loose, you can pull it down far enough to access the 10mm nuts.

Tried getting ford f150 4.2 2003 inspected. Replaced air filter and fuel filter already. Check engine lit was on before replacing them . Now check engine light is out . But won't pass inspection.

As for your codes p1131 and 1151: Ford - Lack Of Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 Switches - Sensor Indicates Lean

Last week I had the very same catalyst, evap and ECG codes come up on my 1999 Mercury Mystique which is like a Ford Taurus. A friend was able to find a hole or leak in the hose connected, replaced it and it runs fine. I havent run it a full and straight 50 miles yet to clear the check engine light but that repair alone changed the entire way the car was poorly driving. Im sure that hasnt fixed all the probs but thats a good starting point.

My side view mirror on 200 Ford Taurus is loose from the top. All 3 of the bolt to mirror are tight. Could the top bolt be broken.

While driving, when passing or going up hill, car wants to bog down, and when you let off the gas pedal the car will smooth out and run fine

Have your catalytic converter inspected at your local muffler shop...this is usually a free inspection...hope this helps...:)

Side View Electric mirror can't adjust up enough for my height

You can manually push the mirror left or righ or up and down. It just ratchets on the plastic screw adjusters. It won't do any damage.
If you have floding mirros, make sure they are locked into position.

here's what inside looks like of 2002 mirror. I don't have 2005
