Question about 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer Ext
I just replaced my sisters thermostat in her 2006 trailblazer, in doing so I had to release the serpentine belt and now it is all back together and it started fine, but now the idle is off and it bogs down and cuts off. What could be the problem? how tight do I have to make the bolt on the outside of the tensioner? Thanks -Benny
The belt should be on an automatic tensioner ,your problem is not in the belt but it is possible you have air in the coolant system and the coolant sensor is not submerged and therefore will not allow engine to reach maximum rpm's,try running engine up to temp while the coolant cap is off and wait for all air to come to surface.that should solve you problem. good luck.
