I have a 2005 Hummer H2 and it will not hold oil pressure until we change the filter. We change the filter and it goes up to 40 and stays good for about a week then drops back down and we have to repeat...

Cut the filter in half and see what is happening with it. Is it clogged up? is it blown out? Also replace the oil sending unit, it could be bad.

your oil pressure sensor is not the problem. the motor that runs the gauge has failed. a replacement gauge cluster is the solution

Why is my oil pressure gauge on my 2003 hummer h2 always read 80 when the vehicle is running, back to zero when shut off?

because when the engine is shut off, the oil pump is also shut off, therefore no oil pressure. no problem here!

After an oil change my hummer looses oil pressure and I have to turn the truck off. After it sits for a minute the restart pressure comes up. I have to repeat this several times in order to drive.

did you check the oil pump stream? dirty or low **** oil in the bottom oil pan. check the oil pressure with the oil pressure tool meter and get a trusted values

My oil presure senor when i start my truck (h2 Hummer) is starting to move to the right when i pressed the gas in my truck instead of staying in the middle. Does anyone know what could cause that to...

the more you give it gas the more oil pressure your engine generates so yes the gauge should go to the right indicating more pressure.especially now with new and clean oil.normal nothing to worry about.hope this helps you.

Oil Sensor light keeps coming on 2003 H2 Hummer

There is a sensor located on the oil pan. If the plug-in to this sensor comes loose it or if the sensor fails, it will send the low oil signal. You are wise to check the oil to confirm it is not low.

High oil pressure in my humer h2

First thing that i would reccomend is switching to 5w30 oil since this is what GM wants you to run in your hummer. Next i assume your gauge is pegged out and doesn't fluctuate. You are going to have to take your hummer down to the local dealer and have a computer hooked up to see if the gauge is bad or the oil pressure sender is bad, more than likely the sender. thanks for using fixya !! have a nice day
