Same problem with 2003 Lancer and what's strange is that I was driving down the freeway and it worked for a few minutes. But only for a few minutes and never since. I am checking my blower resistor and it looks like it could be damaged. When I get that replaced, I will work on the other problems and let you know. Have you checked all the relays and fuses?

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse and my radiator fans run from startup a few minutes after shut off.It affects heat until higher rpms.i need better heat and quicker.

Here are a couple of thoughts on this problem:

1. Just for fun and giggles, it might be a good idea to have the thermostat checked one more time. I know it is a new thermostat but you never known if a thermostat may have failed even right out of the box. It is possible that thermostat could be shot, even thought it was new. I know it is a long-shot, but it never hurts to give it a try.
2. Check the fan sensors. The Eclipse has used an electric, rather than mechanical, fan for some time. It is possible over time that the start and stop sensors can go out of tune and that they can raise your fan's run rate on starting, cruising and idling. In this case, the mechanic is right in that the higher speed is causing the coolant to be cooled off more quickly than it should and the result is that your vehicle's cooling system is causing problems for your Eclipse's heater sensors. If the sensors don't get information that the coolant flowing through their portion of the cooling system isn't the right temperature then the heater won't kick off and all that will happen is that the heater will wait until it senses the coolant is the right temperature.

My horn does not work. It worked sometimes for a while now it does not work at all. Also have a problem with the right back door. It locks but makes a noise and will only unlock manuelly. 2000 dodge...

Regarding the horn, I would check the horn switch in the door or the horn itself. If it was a relay or fuse, the horn wouldn't work at all. Also check and see if the connector to the horn isn't on there loose... maybe the connection isn't as good as it should be.
Regarding your door lock issue, if you have power locks, then it can be your door lock actuator. They can be purchased from places like rockauto.com or the dealership. If you were wanting to do the work yourself, I can walk you through the process of diagnosing the door lock actuator to make sure it is bad, as well as the installation procedure to put a new one in.
Good luck
