Th engine was running fine when we drove it home(32 miles).I transferred everything over with it and only had to replace ignition module , starter, plugs, plug wires, dist cap and rotor. Lots of the stock emission tubes and modulators had to be removed because they were in such bad shape. Basically the only form of emissions is the pcv filter now.the question of speed is the 90 jeep which this engine went into has 4.11 gears but use to go well above 70 with a four cylinder. The 1988 the engine came out of had 3.07 gears, Do I need to transfer these axles or can I keep the 4.11's

A few things that immediately come to mind are, was the engine (replacement) running well before it was installed in current jeep? What all did you exchange, as in complete assembly with all ignition , intake , fuel injection parts etc, or did you transfer from original engine that was in current jeep ?

1990 jeep wrangler motor has no compression

Take it back to the shop that did the engine overhaul. No compression at all? They did something very wrong. Does the distributor shaft and rotor turn when cranking the engine? Are you sure your compression tester is working and hasn't failed? Is it possible they got the timing for the crank and camshaft all wrong? Take it back to them and demand they fix it, if it truly has no compression. It will never start without compression.

1988 Jeep Wrangler Automatic Trans

Most likely it could be a vaccum prob. With the engine running spray windex or soap and water on the lines to check for leaks. If bobbles appear then replace the hoses. There could also be a electric problem.
How warm are you talking about. Normal? Very hot?

If you are trying to solve an overheating problem this will not achieve anything, but if just to clean out dirty coolant this is how its done..
When engine is cold !!! with radiator in vehicle.
1/ Remove Top and bottom radiator hoses.
2/ Insert garden hose into bottom hose connection of radiator (Use a rag to help seal the connection) turn on water fully to reverse flush radiator till water comes out of top connection, repeat a couple of times.
3/ Reconnect hose to radiator , fill with clean water only.
4/ Run engine till it reaches normal temperature, then switch off engine and allow to cool.
5/ Remove bottom hose to drain system again, refit hose and refill with a good coolant mixture according to you climate.
