Hello, make sure the gear shift is pushed all the way in park, you can also grab towards the bottom of steering wheele, and try to twist it to the left, to put in park, you may need to have someone adjust your linkage on transmission,

Stick my key in the ignition to start a saubb 9.5 and it tells me key not accepted what is the problem need help fast???

You can start your vehicle, just turn key to start. hit any button on remote, if it accepts the signal. Then car will start. You can also go to dealer to have the system checked, and find out whats wrong. Because there are many reasons why this has happened. Hope this helps!

I have a 92 Oldsmobile Toronado that was recently broken into and my igniton was broke. And now I can't start it. I can put the key in it and turn like usual but the information center is saying starting...

I believe that your key has a resistor chip. You will need to find the resistance of your chip. Once found, go to an electronics store and buy a resistor with the same value. Follow the two wires that go from the ign switch down the steering column , into a 2 wire plug into the ign module. Unplug the connector. Plug the resistor to the module. The module will read this value and allow you to start the car.

My next question is if the original key wont start the car how do i get a vats key

you measure the ohms on the resister in the key using a digital multimeter. once you get the value you go to the dealer and ask for the number key that matches the resistance, get the key cut.

07 Navigator pulling codep-1260,How to clear without going to dealer

P1260 that is anti theft code, The definition is Theft detected, vehicle immobilized, Your going to have to bring in a mobil locksmith in and have immobilizer reset. Or try this put the key in the ignition and turn it to the ACC 3 times fast and leave the key in for at least 10 minutes. Then try to start the vehicle because there is a possibility the ant theft will accept the keys agian. by the way youll always have this problem it always fails to accepts its own keys

I have a 1995 camaro. it will not start. i ran a jumper wire to the solenoid and turned the key on. it starts but will only run for about 5 seconds? it has a new ignition with security key

Did the dealer install the new ignition?. If so, then he would also have to replace the sensor that goes with it which is attached to the steering column, Then he would have to reprogram the on-board computer to accept the new security code. Just changing the ignition and key won;t work. Check out this website for more informaiton:

My 2002 sabb 95 dash said the ignition key was not accepted and wont start

It sounds like you have a problem with your twice module (theft warning integrated central electronics). It energizes a loop of wire surrounding the key and sends the power to the transponder sends a code around the same loop and sends it to the module which checks to see if it is an accepted key.....obviously you have a problem somewhere in that circuit. I hope this helps. Good luck!
