Where does the crank shaft sensor go on a 1997 5.2 1500 dodge ram

The crankshaft position sensor is located on the passenger side of the transmission bellhousing. Remove the two mounting bolts and unplug wires from connector. Install the reverse of removal. Hope this will help you.

There are many things to consider with an automatic. Check that you have installed the kick down cable and spring correctly. If the kickdown is stuck or the spring is holding it in the wrong direction this will cause your problem. Insure your 8 pin plug is seated properly into into the sillinoid connector. Also check and see if any transmission codes have been set. Hope this helps.

Will a 1996 dodge 1500 transmission fit in a 1994 dodge 2wd

If the 1996 trans is also a 2wd,yes it will bolt right in.One thing to look at though is the connector on the trans on the driver side, they should both be round,8 wire connectors. It is possible that the earlier 94 trans has a different connector in that same location,if so,no it won't work.
