If its the ORPS sensor (Common Rail Pressure Sensor) there will not be a Mil fault so the Tech2 will not show anything usefull. You could check the High Pressure Oil Rail pressures - if very high without variation could help isolate the ORPS as a problem but its still vague. Better to cut the white sensor wire beyong the har

(whoops - hit the enter key by mistake) .... beyond the harness join (where the oil level / oil-filler located) so you can rejoin later and this will cut the reading to the ECU and will give standard "Limp home" running. Check for oil in the wiring and plug also as this can add to your problems). If it runs ok like that you will have to replace the ORPS sensor under the tappet valve cover. Use only MAP sensor cleaners NOT carby cleaner or others as they will create problems dissolving plastic that you need for insulation etc. The white wire may look yellowish after some years under the bonnet. These are common on newer vehicles but there are more testing systems in place now that will put up error codes for what we are experiencing. The valve cover job takes time but not too difficult. Make sure you seal the wire cable semi-circular gasket under and on top and within and beyond each side of the injector (pink) wires to stop oil leaking out in a continual stream of drips under the vehicle down the left side of the engine block. Get Ultra Blue and save messing with gaskets also. Have fun and build in a valve adjustment if you need one when the cover is off.

Just a quick point - there is NO injector pump like the old diesels. The 4JX1 uses a high pressure oil rail (or tube) under the valve cover to hold high pressure oil. This is injected into the injector and multiplies the pressure to around 27,000PSI to pressurize the diesel fuel. Pretty nifty but poor injector seals created havoc and eventually were replaced under recall in most countries by so called ceramic seals for critical o-rings within the internals of the injector. Mechanics who are looking to replace an injector pump may be somewhat off track. (Being very politically correct here.

we cant guess, what fix means.
Diagnosing direct injection?

The 4JX1 is a 3.0 L direct injection diesel engine, turbo, some intercooled, which replaced the 4JG2 in the Isuzu Bighorn/Trooper/Holden Jackaroo.
It uses unit injectors and 4 valves per cylinder.

European and Asian buyers could opt for the diesel.

see we dont have this.
troopers are sold in Asia too, but not here with diesel.

wow first post ever posting country ,what a brave person. !!!!
welcome to USA forums ,that have no such car.(truck)
the line up. (wiki list) so its 3.0L 4JX1
stalls and lost power.
The 4JX1 is a 3.0L direct injection diesel engine, turbo, some intercooled, which replaced the 4JG2 in the Isuzu Bighorn/Trooper/Holden Jackaroo. It uses unit injectors and 4 valves per cylinder.

can be caused by many reasons. get it scanned yet. ?
or see FSM book on flash codes from the direct injection fuel
controller? (per this engine option and market)

does turbo have proper boost? (PSI boost or +1 bar boost?)
does it even have a boost gauge.?
there are over 50 causes, of stalls (most inside engine)
but its not getting boost or the injection rates are wrong.
there are basic tests for each covered in the FSM
Factory (oem) service manual, with coverage for this engine.

Isuzu 3ltr turbo diesel no fuel to injectors

this is USA forum, and we dont have this car.
IT'S NOT A USA 2002 DIESEL trooper.
that and exact engine, size.
we have, 3 gas engines, 2.2L,3.2. and 3.5L
here. only and books that cover only those 3 engines.
so if a diesel dies.
what>?
check fuses.
scan it.
check filters
try test fuel to see if it runs on test fuel
test the glow plugs yet,?

if pump pressure is dead,?
check, power to the pump yet? (fuses are first)

there are 4,.6 and 8cyl. diesels by Isuzu.,
which is it>
they have names.
7 diffr. B engines, 3,xxxx liters.
and
5 diffr. 4Jxx series engines.
my guess is the engine is.
3.0 L 4JX1 TD I4
3.1 L 4JG2 TD I4

wiki says.
"
European and Asian buyers could opt for the diesel engine option of the 4JG2 3.1-liter (later superseded by the more problematic 4JX1 3.0-liter of 159 PS or 117 kW)
4jg2 is indirect injected
4jX1 is direct.
apples and orange diffr.! injection classes. '

learn what's under that hood, then fix it?

what country
what engine, real names, not 3L vague-ness. please.

I cant find the location of diagnostic socket of Isuzu 4jx1

The ODB socket is just under the plastic trim that goes over the gearlever cover by your right foot , no tools needed to get it out .
The 4JX1 is a HUEI type engine so the diesel is not under high pressure until injected .
To prove if the fuel is starved put fuel in a can and pipe it into the hand primer pump direct .
Most likely cause is the Rail Oil Presure Sensor as this controls the amount of fuel injected via the ECU .
