Question about 1995 Dodge Ram 2500
My 1995 dodge 2500 diesel starts the immediately quits.
Your shutdown solenoid might be getting weak. Locate the solenoid (on or near the fuel pump) and remove it. Leave it plugged in and turn the ignition on, then see if you can pull the plunger out with your fingers. It shouldnt budge. Also, check to see if it gets hot. It sounds as though its losing its pull right after the engine starts.

The solenoid was the correct answer. the only difference was that you did not need to remove the solenoid to see if it was working properly. there is an arm on the fuel shut off actuator that connects to the solenoid rod. you can reach or visually inspect without removing. i did end up pulling it off and spraying some silicone lube on the somewhat rusty plunger, reassembled and the problem is gone.
