I have heard of them being located in the trunk near the fuel filler. It's a resetable switch. Probably behind the interior panel.

My daughter hit some road kill in a 2010 nissan murano and car shut off. Now it cranks but won't start. Is there some kind of safety fuel switch that triggered when she impacted the deer?

There is an emergency shut off mentioned in the link below:

Not sure if the procedure to start is the same or not. I would phone a Nissan dealer and ask them what the correct procedure is.

I HAVE A 2003 FORDWIND STAR SE.3.8 NEW PLUGS AND WIRES NEW STARTER NEW THROTTLE BODY NEW SPEED CONTROL STILL WONT CRANK OR TURN OVER EVERY ONE IS SAYING IT THE KILL SWITCH I DONT WHERE IT IS LOCATED

The fuel shut-off switch (inertia switch) is located probably in the rear somewhere, like behind a side or kick panel , or sometimes it is located in the kick panel on the front passenger side.

But this switch is only for fuel shut off in case of accident or emergency. It will not affect the starting circuit. Something else would be preventing from cranking the engine over. Since you have a new starter, there must be a problem in the start circuit. If security light is flashing when trying to start it, it must be activated. If not, you need to see if power is going to starter solenoid with key held in crank position.

sounds like you may have a blockage in the carburettor or your injectors are blocked.

92 dodge dakota not getting fire to coil

If it is not cranking, then you have to work on the
starting system first

Cranking is the motor turning over

What about fuel pressure with & without the regulator
hose connected?

How about a worn out ignition switch ?

My 96 camry just stopped on me one day when i gave it gas going up a hill

1) Reset the ignition timing, according the specification of manufacturer.
2) Test the primary circuit and secondary circuit from ignition test.
3) Fuel pump test finally. see all diagrams. God bless you

Car wont start but cranks fuel not being dispersed into engine

There is a fuel pump shutoff reset button under the dash on the passenger side. If you recently bumped something with the front bumper it may have activated the "emergency fuel shutoff" and you will have to click this button to "reset" the fuel system.

Cranks but wont start

May have dirt on crank angle sensor ,loose/damaged. Located usually close to bottomf pulley on engine.. Remember to keep it simple and check for the obvious first (fuel/pump? is emergency shut off tripped accidentally from towing ? Turn ignition on and have someone listen at fuel neck for pump operation. Check all fuses.
