Question about 2005 Ford Focus
Being a women has nothing to do with being ripped off. Men don't know anything about todays veh either. You don't authorize any work requiring any payment at all, until your standing inside the repair facility, after they come up with a problem and explain it to your satisfaction. I mean inside the service bay next to your car, not in the office. You talk only to the tech/mech that is assigned to your repair. Then go to the office to discuss price, and other issues. You do not pay upon completion until you repeat the process after repair are done. Back into the shop, open hood, examine new parts installed etc and are shown old parts and explained why they failed. Try to find a shop with ASE Certified Mechanics and never leave a vehicle if they do not want to go on a road test with you driving and then they drive. Your loss of coolant is one of few exceptions. I would say a radiator hose or bad/leaking radiator are common failures. A radiator is not more than $200 in most cases and a couple hours labor at $60 per hr
