Disconnect battery. Remove wires and connector from rear of alternator. Loosen both the top and bottom bolts. The botton bolt has a nut on the back of it, so you will need to have a wrench to hold it while you loosen the bolt. Once those are out, and the belt is set asside, the alternator should be free to remove.

I think he meant how to get it out once it is disconnected. There is not enough room to just pull it out..going to have to remove something else.

My 1987 full size Jimmys steering column is loose at the pivot point for the tilt, Is there a way of tightening that or is it time to replace it?

Yes,takes about an hour to fix,no parts involved.Special tools tho. There are 4 torx head bolts that come loose, would put lock tite on them when tightened.Have to pull the wheel and ts switch, remove tilt pivot pins, lock cyl, ect. Kind of involved but any good shop knows how to do it.

Replace alternator for 1994 toyota 4 cyl. pickup diagrams/pictures etc?

I've found the bolt that the alternator pivots on to be not much fun. A small palm type ratchet has been helpful. Here's an online manual's alternator section:

How do I remove the power steering in a 1987 f 150 truck 6 cyl 4.

You will need a special tool to remove the pulley first. You will be able to get it out after that. Some parts companies will loan tools or you can purchase them.

Changing alternator on a 2000 toyota camry ce 4 cyl.

It is not difficult at all. Have your wrench or spana and remove the old one being sure to take note of how it was before removing it and you are done.

Take things easy and steady when doing it.

If I am correct, your battery runs down over night? Please replace your alternator because it is under charging the battery.

Now what? Changed alternator but car still won't start.

a dropped/disconected starter solenoid cable is a good candidate, a heavy cable runs from the battery to the starter, a lighter cable runs from the ignition to the starter solenoid, the ignition key throws the solenoid which engages the starter pinion gear in the flywheel, and connects the cable to spin the starter motor. even loose may not be producing enoug current to fully engage the starter.
there is a fusible link in the battery cable that is a good candidate.
if the battery were disconnected during alternator changeover, look for loose cables at the battery posts, and corrosion on the posts.
if the battery was not disconnected look for collapsed positive plates on one or more cells of the battery..
